    I am suddenly stuck.

I have quite a number of free and other programs like DVD Shrink, TMPGEnc, DVDFab6, as well as Pinnacle Ultimate 12.

I want to copy numerous clips from home dvds and with photos make a dvd using Pinnacle for my daughter's 21st.

I tried DVDFab, but Pinnacle did not recognize the format, so did DVD Shrink(I converted a lot of video tapes to DVD using my DVD hard drive recorder.

    Any advice please?

What kind of dvd is it? it could be dvd-vr, dvd-ram and then it might not be that easy rip from. Check what folder and files you see on the dvd.

Studio can import directly from a DVD (at least v11 Plus) - go to: File - Import DVD Title

John, I only received your post after my post.

So, I import the DVD and will then be able to cut clips?

That is a standard dvd and it should work to import directly in pinnacle as johnp mentions.

It looks as if my problem is solved- Pinnacle has started to capture.

    Thanks for the prompt advice

Yes, though it takes a while to 'load' the DVD

Some of these DVDs are importing quickly (the ones I wrote directly from the DVD recorder), but the ones I made using "TMPEnc" with "GUI for DVD Author" struggle to upload. The last one is taking at least two hours and not finished yet.

So I was wondering if anyone knows of a program that would convert DVD (vob files) to MPEG, which I then could use in Pinnacle?
