For DVD replication in a professional office I need a dvd master. In Encore CS3 it is only possible when I have a so-called DLT drive, which I don't have. Is there another way to create such a master?
Try StreamFab Downloader and download from Netflix, Amazon, Youtube! Or Try DVDFab and copy Blu-rays! or rip iTunes movies!

you need to contact your duplication house and see what they will accept instead of dlt tape.

I agree with aedipuss.
I've heard that some duplication houses will accept DVD-R as a master, but not DVD+R. -
Yes, some do accept DVD-R, but my question is if there is a special way to create such a master DVD or is it merely building an image and burn to dvd. And waht would be recommendable software do do it?

You need to create DDP image and write this to a disc. Gear and DVDAfter Edit are the only 2 apps I know of that do this.

It seems that buying a DLT drive is cheaper then purchasing the software that can create DDP to DVD-R, isn't it?
