    I have an mpeg-2 format file in the .mpg extension and i need to open it and remove some portions and the whole audio stream and save it directly with no transcoding taking place.

    Any suggestions as to how i can do that?

    I tried vdub mpeg but it needs to act as a framserver in order to save mpeg, and it needs transcoding to save as avi...

    mpg2cut2, avidemux (free, not frame accurate, I-frame cuts only)
