I have created 10 min 1080i project, rendered it as ACVHD and burned it to DVD+R using Pinnacle Studio Plus 11 (Single-movie -no menu DVD). The resulted DVD played in a couple of different ACVHD compatible Blu-ray players at Best Buy. I do not have stand-alone Blue-ray player, but I have a PC with DVD writer. The same DVD was not recognized by my PC under Windows XP SP3 at all. To my great surprise and relief, this DVD was playable by Nero 9 on the same PC.
Please let me know if any other software player can play AVCHD on DVD+/-R on PC or Mac. Thanks!!

Try Splash, PowerDVD, WinDVD and Arcsoft Totalmedia theatre (check the features).
