Super Newb Needs Help For Machinima Project. Dazzle Ok?

Tyrce here and I need your HELP!!
Console:PS3

I've never made a machinima before and I have only some experience with video editing, but with your help I know we can make something FANTASTIC!!!!!!!

First I need a capture card...
Dazzle has caught my eye so far, reasons being, it's cheap, and it does what I need it to do...
But I've read some comments about how you can only use certain editing software and the stuff that it comes with SUCKS!!!!!

So I was hoping you guys could help me pick a different capture card, or help me out with explaining Dazzle to me more clearly...

Once Ive picked my capture card I'm gonna need to pick my editing software and so far I've heard its not exactly the best...

Finlay I'll need someone to help me to compress the finished product, and to help me maintain its quality...

I really hope some of you guys will help me out.

You plan to capture from your PS3, then edit to a final video format? What video format would the final output be in?

I have no experience with a PS3 or Dazzle, but others here probably have.

Yes, I am making a machinima to put on youtube or machinima.com...

I could E-mail you my Ideas if you promise not to use them.

I can tell you that I have a windows xp with very low tolerance and compatibility with anything and will crash if it thinks that its being taken for granted...

And I have a toshiba notebook that is the complete oposite to my XP.
It is very loyal and will operate obediantly on command...

The machinima I am planning to make is using the recorded gameplay of Assassins Creed II.

I will record the gameplay footage, edit it and use any usefull tips you can provide to make an exelent first production...
