I will watch pretty much anything that is good. I guess horror would be my favourite category, but a good film is a good film, regardless of genre.

I like Sci-Fi, but I watch just about anything. Not a big fan of 'slasher' movies, though.

yeah - can't pick just one...
    comedy, sci-fi, action, documentary, fantasy.
I just hate dramas (for the most part). I've got enough bullshit in my own life, I can't understand intentionally sitting through 2 hours of somebody else's depressing bullshit.
I watch movies to escape reality for a little rest.

Something not asked in the pole but is related to my watching TV is my preference for how I like to watch. Whether movies or TV series I am what you might call a phasic viewer.. I do have a tendency to watch a particular genre for a period of time than switch to another genre. Even more specific, I also tend to watch sequel movies one right after another. After all the Starwar movies were out it didn't take me long to sort them by 123456 and watch them one after the other in that order. With the release of Terminator 4, I watched it than went back and watched all 4 in sequence one right after the other (I think 2 was the best).

I do the same with long running TV series (Monk, 2 1/2 Men, Supernatural)

I'd say its 1/3 scifi 1/3 fantasy 1/3 action. Fantasy being things like Lord of the Rings or Harry Potter type stuff (though I've only seen the first one all the way through and never read the books nor care to see the other movies - referring to harry potter - I have all three lord of the rings extended edition dvds and have read the actual books and the hobbit as well).
Donatello - The Shredder? Michelangelo - Maybe all that hardware is for making coleslaw?

I like good movies. I don't care if they're chick flicks, sci-fi blockbusters, independent horror, or anything in between

  12. Sci-Fi is my first love, it's what I read and what I write, but I actually watch more fantasy movies. Too many Sci-Fi movies are rubbish, and the sad part is that they are often based on wonderful Sci-Fi books.

Completely agree. Given the choices though I voted sci-fi.
