On the computer in the home office, keep getting an error message: The instruction at "0x00f3f7a5" referenced memory at "0x7e41950f". The memory could not be "written". It gives the options: Click OK to teminate or cancel to debug the program. No matter what I push, it starts a timer that restarts the computer.

The MBLASTER virus also shut peoples computers down, but that message was labeled under "NT authority". Assuiming your computers memory is not at fault, which it could be, start ->run -> shutdown \a should stop your computers countdown timer. If that doesn't work try chaning the \ to a / my switches are not 100%. You can test your computers memory using "memtest 86+" from Microsoft.

Advanced windows care free version includes all the default components you might need ... includes backup before any changes are applied -

good luck! -
It wouldn't hurt to run Memtest 86+ on your memory; download the ISO, burn it to a CD and reboot with the CD in the driver. Free.

As for those links in Mja's post lower down ... those app's are junk and avoid like the plague
As for the ms support there appears to be a lot of similar complains and users using combofix
http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/combofix/how-to-use-combofix ... read carefully
Wise thing would be to image the system using macrium reflect before letting loose with such repair tools ... if it goes pear shape you can restore the system prior to the repair attempt stage and continue the search
