Hi all, I downloaded some clips that are in mp4 format and I used TMPGEnc 4.0 Xpress to convert it to dvd compatible mpg. However the resulting clip has a 'herky-jerky' look to it when played on my DVD player. So I used Mediainfo to find the properties of the mp4 clip and it showed the clip as being 29.00 fps. I guess when it got re-encoded, it ended up being done at 29.97 fps...which might explain the lack of 'smooth' video playback. My question...what is the best way to convert a 29fps clip to DVD so that the video plays 'smoothly'. Should I stick with 4.0 Xpress and change some settings? Use another encoding software? I'm a relative newbie to video encoding/conversion so I'm not familiar with some of the features of these programs.
Thanks.
