Example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z7z47rJIadQ Whenever there's movement involved in one of my youtube videos, these weird tear things show up. They don't show up after I render it in vegas, so I'm stumped. It only shows up on youtube, but I've seen people that have the same camera as I do, and it doesn't do it for their videos, so I'm sure it's not any sort of camera setting. How do I get rid of these tears? Help is greatly appreciated. Thank you.

It looks like a framerate mismatch. I see the tearing but only when the video is playing. It doesn't show up when paused. It reminds me of watching a 50Hz video in a window on a 60Hz display.

What resolution are you uploading to YouTube?
It's best to use 1280x720p/30fps or 640x480p/30fps.

I am uploading at 1280x720 at 29.970 fps. If it is a "framerate mismatch" would there be any way of fixing it?

Ok, the only difference is the mpbs, and the resolutions. The source file is 1920*1080 and is 16.1 MBPS, and the output file from Vegas is 1280*720 and is 197 KBPS. I already output to progressive. Should I try uploading it in 30 fps instead?
I uploaded the video, it still had the tears. If you are able to upload videos without those tears, could you give me your Sony Vegas settings? I also uploaded the source file, same thing.
The tears aren't in your video or the files that Youtube created from it. The tears are a problem with the Flash player. It doesn't know when the graphics card is in vertical refresh. It just changes the frame buffer any old time. The tears appear when the frame buffer is updated while the screen is being drawn. There's nothing you can do about this. It happens with all online video sites that use Flash.
It's not the camera or settings or the way youtube re-encoded it, it's the way video is rendered through flash. If you check the video downloaded from youtube (check your temp internet folder) , there is no tearing (or at least not as much) in a normal video player like MPC, VLC , KMplayer , etc...
