    Hi, I'm new and I am having a problem with what I should download in order to mak subtitles. I would appreciate opinions on what I should download to begin my subbing work. t te same time I will need help on how to download them. I have tried today, and it did not work?

    It depends on what sort of subs you want to make. If you are after something to do text based subs, subtitle workshop is pretty good. You get good video preview and a lot of tools.

    I want to be able to sub music videos and dramas/movies..would workshop still be good option

    Aegisub is the most powerful free subtitling program. You'll have to use the Export function to export SRT subtitles; it natively saves in .ASS format.

    Google for a guide to subtitling using Aegisub, if you decide to try it.
