Skipping - stuttering

I have an i7 system wtih two terabyte harddrives RAID, WINDVD 2010 Pro, LG Super multi blu DVD player / burner. I have downloaded all the latest drivers. My video card is a EVA 9800GT with one meg memory.

When I play Blu rays the sound and image goes on and off.......like stuttering. I have had three techs look at it and they are puzzled.......Why? Everthing on this PC runs smoothly.

Does anyone else have this problem?

If it works then the problem could be with your BluRay drive or the SATA interface to your motherboard.

Also possible is the decryption that's occuring when you're playing the disk through WinDVD. You'd have to try a different app to decrypt the Blu Ray, such as AnyDVDHD to determine this. http://www.slysoft.com/en/anydvdhd.html

I have SLYSOFT ANYDVD. Could that be causing the problem? How could I shut SLYSOFT ANYDVD off to test my system without SLYSOFT ANYDVD?

If AnyDVD is running, that shouldn't affect playback, in fact it makes it easier. With AnyDVD running, you should also be able to play one of the .m2ts files on the BD directly. I do it with VLC player or MPC-HC and the decrypted files play back fine. Do BD files play back properly from your hard drives but not the BD disc itself?

I'm wondering if you have a video card driver problem. You might also check to see if DXVA is working on your system. You might try DXVA Checker and post the result: http://bluesky23.hp.infoseek.co.jp/en/index.html Without hardware acceleration, you could have the stutter you mention.
