    Hey everyone,

I'm in a bit of a bind, the company I work for sells various medical products and we have a DvD that we ship with a few of our products, well we're trying to somehow make it so that when our DvD is put into a computer tower it can connect to a website. Can anyone tell me how this is done or point me in the right direction?

    Thanks in advance!!

If it is an actual DVD with Audio_TS and Video_TS folders then it can't be done.

  3. In addition to the AUDIO_TS and VIDEO_TS folders, you can also include a DVD_ROM folder. Inside that in PDF format have something like a brochure with links. I'm not sure if that's exactly what you had in mind, but it's one way to get clickable links into a DVD.

You could also create an autorun.inf file in the root of the disc that will be ignored by standalone DVD players, but seen by computers that have autorun enabled. This could launch a browser to a particular website.

Of course, if autorun is disabled it won't work, but then nothing will.

I've written about this before, so you could do a Videohelp search.

    Summary of options:

    1. "PC Friendly" custom DVD-Video player that also supports links (incl. web and document links). But it's not anywhere near as popular is it was 5 years ago (it's peak, which wasn't huge then).
    2. Custom specialty web pages done in autorun that have special calls to play DVD-video in a web plugin window (also not very popular).
    3. BluRay's BD-Live

NONE of these are supported in settop DVD-Video players. PCs or BD - that's it.
