I can't cut clips from mp4 x264 HD.

I downloaded a football match from a torrent which is .mp4 , x264 codec and it's capped from German Eurosports HD. I tried to cut with Virtualdub and Sony Vegas. Both failed. I'm with K-Lite codecs pack.

Yeah.

1. Codec packs are crap. Stay away from them.

2. Virtualdub works best with the avi container, can be made to work with other containers in some cases, but H264 is not really one of them

3. AVI Demux handles H264 better than virtualdub

4. H264 can be encoded in so many ways that what works well in one program won't work well in the next, and the next file you download may not work in what you used last time.

5. Codec packs are crap
