  1. A friend gave me some files he created for a DVD - so it's not a protected.

I want to extract audio from the files in wav format.

Attached is a screen capture of the files.

Can I use VirtualDub to do this?

    IFO Mode
    Demux audio and video
    File Splitting NONE
Convert audio file to WAV with Goldwave(or similar).
All Free(I think Goldwave is still free....or shareware).

This one seems very simple to use. 30 day trial should work just fine too.

    Thanks tkolt

Once decrypted/ripped (if using DVDD as suggested) you can import the AC3 audio in Audacity..It even imports VOB(via ffmpeg library)..Thought I'd chime in, since I like your Avatar.. 8)

Open up the files in DGIndex. Go to Audio Output menu and select Decode AC3 track to WAV. File Menu --> Save Project.

IDK, can you use your legs to cross the street?

These type of questions should be banned (even though I can't guarantee I haven't asked them myself.)

I mean, really why not TRY IT OUT and then tell us about your experiences????

I understand this emotion, being scared or lazy or ??? to try out new things, but still. It's more efficient when you try it out, then tell us what didn't work.
Of course, it not only just looks better to show us that you made an effort, it just IS better.

Just let this be your anthem for asking questions on this forum:
