How to extract the ISo from a zipped file.

This is the first time I encountered this . The video file after processing is a .zip file . Do I use Winzip to extract this so I get an iso after extraction?

The second download baffled me as well , after extraction I get a series of winrar.zip file ? Fortunately there wer only about qo files so I did it the brute force way ie extract each to get the rar file then recompile with win rar. Is there a simpler way to do this?

If you downloaded it, welcome to the bizarre world of online stupidity, where files can be wrapped in multiple layers of compression for no discernible advantage. If this is the case, all you can do is unzip them, then unrar them, then unzip them again if necessary until you get something useful.

If you created this yourself, how did you do it ?

Some archive programs (winrar is one) can read ISO files, and so may hijack the file extension. This can mean that when you create an ISO file it appears to be associated with Winrar. You can change this in Windows file associations (google for instructions for your particular version of windows).

I downloaded the file. This is the first time I came across this. Every file I downloaded previously resulted in iso , Video_ts , or rar but never zipped rar or zipped iso! Today was the first time came across this.

Why do you think it is a 'zipped iso' ?

ISO is a file format. You either an ISO file, or you have something else. If it is a zip file, unzip it. If it is an ISO you have a couple of choices. Mount it with DaemonTools and see what's in it, or burn it with Imgburn and see what you get.

After the download and repair plus extraction I got a zipped file. Then I clicked it and winzip come up so I inspected the files. There were quite a few files in it . Since I intend to stream the video to my media player , I only extracted the .mkv Video Stream .

The other file is stranger still. Each file was a rar file but zipped. I had to individually unzip each rarxx.zip file . Then use winrar to extract the executable file. I have never come across this before.
