    i am looking for a temporary solution to switch between a couple of dv cams via firewire. I know http://www.avtake.com/ , but i cannot get it to run, i already mailed the maker of it, but no response, besides being pretty expensive

    I know enosoft (www.enosoft.net) has a DV switcher, although I am not sure how far along it is or if it will do what you need.
