  1. Hello,

I'm using Roxio's basic VHS to DVD to capture an old VHS tape.

After I have captured the footage in NTSC AVI format, playing it back, the picture looks sort of degraded, as I would expect, however there was music playing and it seems to stretch pitch up and down as it's playing.

I'm trying to figure out if this is something that's caused by:

    1. The Tape is too old

    2. My VHS player

    3. Roxio VHS to DVD

Either way, is there a way to fix this issue? Everything between audio & video that's captured is in sync, but the audio just stretches pitch and in and out at random times.

    Thanks

  3. greymalkin - I'm about to test the tape out on a different vcr to determine that.

Those Roxio VHS to DVD decides are cheap junky little things, it is a possible problem. It might be your choice in capture software/methods, however.

Consider using VirtualDub to capture instead: http://www.digitalfaq.com/guides/vid...virtualdub.htm
