I typcially buy all my dvd-r DVD 5 discs from meritline.com. I use DVD Shrnik and most of the time, if the movie is less than 1.5 hours long and doesnt have extensive graphics like Transformers, a DVD5 will work fine without sacrificing quality. Now I am thinking of getting DVD9 to increase quality.

But I noticed all their DVD9 9GB discs are double layer. They have a dvd-r 9GB section but is empty.

Plus they do not even come in the 50 or 100 pack by Imation or Ridata. Why?

Yes, all DVD9 are dual layer. The only dual layer worth buying are Verbatim +R DL discs, and they should be burned with Imgburn.
