HFlix has "temporarily" or so they claim stopped selling all hardware. No more Momitsu region free BluRay players from them.

Do I detect another "offer you can't refuse" from Hollywood being made here?
This is very bad news for North American consumers leaving only one other make now able to be made region free for DVD and BluRay playback. I hesitate to mention who they are now, but many of you know what I am talking about.

The rumour I heard was that HKFlix was under new ownership, and the new owners had decided to concentrate on media sales rather than hardware.
I hope you are right, but this is still bad for North American consumers. Europeans are able to get Momitsu players but HKFlix was the only seller I know of in North America selling their stuff. I guess one could always try Ebay and hope for the best.
This occurred right after Christmas.
It occurred before Christmas. I thought at first they'd curtailed the hardware selling just for the run-up to Xmas, but it looks like it's permanent.
I think HKFlix is suffering for business, judging from the desperation in their marketing materials. I'd imagine sitting on expensive stock like that can be a big gamble and a burden. Media only sales makes more sense.
