Crop the bottom of the video off; that's the only way you'll do it.
Some of the logo removal filters available for Virtualdub will have a stab at it, but you just end up with a big old blur where the subs used to be. If your avi has hard-coded subs, then look for another another avi...

Thanks midders. how could I do that? I got the Virtualdub but I can't find the options. can you tell me step by step?
Thanks
Well I found the filter option and then crop option. but still don't know how to use it. I cropped my file but how can I save it?
thanks
If you don't know how to save a file, you really should take a course in computer skills 101?
If you ask those type of questions, people are gonna suspect you're lazy and will appear unwilling to help you, count me among those. You really sound like you're asking for directions to the post office, and then ask instructions on how to cross the street properly ("Does one wait on the red light, or not?"), feel me? It's that low a level.
Most likely, that's just me.
Ask more pointed questions, which show you have at least read thru SOME of the stuff under that link, and MORE ppl will be inclined to help you.
Sure, some will help you no matter what, true that, so you could get lucky.
Tip:
if you cropped the file, which means you chopped the bottom off, there aint no sub to be removed anymore, now is there?River Tam: ''Can't look, can't look!'' My old avatar: dress, movies
I kind of agree, but think you're being a little harshOriginally Posted by KneeGrow
I remember it being not too long ago that I didn't have a clue how to save a two pass Xvid encode with Vdub.
Download and install the Xvid codec if you haven't already, and then check out the relevant part of this tutorial for instructions on how to save your video in vdub. And if you now ask how to open a pdf file, I really will agree with Kneegrow
