Hi, I am wondering if there is any simple way of downloading a graphical interface for installation of VLC for Yellow Dog??
Is there any VLC version for Yellow Dog released?
The purpose is to be able to use a PS3 as a HTPC. Any other suggestions of great players like VLC for Yellow Dog??

If you goto the Yellow Dog forums, they have the details laid out. Basically, it involves .... just installing the software with yum
Doing a Google search returns 1,000's of howto's as well.
You'll get better use out of the PS3 as an HTPC without Linux then you will running YDL. YDL can not use the underlying graphics chips, which makes video rendering dog slow. Though the native PS3 media center is quite limited in function and feature, it is more capable and powerful than YDL. Get a cheap Aspire Revo (or any other ION based PC), or a Western Digital set top box. These make better HTPC's than any gaming console @ 1/5 the cost
Linux _is_ user-friendly. It is not ignorant-friendly and idiot-friendly.
