Some hacks don't work anymore due to hardware and/or firmware changes by the manufacturer. Perhaps someone will see your post and respond with something that will work for you, but it is also possible that you will never be able to unlock your player. Many DVD players can never be unlocked.

This is how I changed mine, hope it works for you.
With no disk press PAUSE + ''1472''
    2. In my LG I got this EEPROM information
    EEPROM: f1 00 d0 29 00 81 a0 20 57 00
3.I changed the value 29 to 09 (0 means all regions)
4.Turn off the DVD and wait a little before turn it on again

Then to check if code works

    1. Press the Setup button on your remote control
    2. Select TV Aspect and place the cursor on the 16:9 Wide option
    3. Using your remote control enter the code 1, 3, 9, 7, 1, 3 and 9
    4. Press the Enter button on your remote control
    5. You should now see the version information screen stating Region 0, or 2 if the change failed..
    6. Press Setup button on your remote .

    Happy viewing.

hi just tried this method, it didn't work.

When I press pause + 1472 the unit display toggles between PAL and NTSU but I don't get the PROM displayed on the tv screen.

The check method works but so far its always 29 not 09.

I'm getting closer but my system must require an alternative method to prompt the EEPROM mode...

Any other suggestions welcome Thanks for imput so far . . . .
