    Would there be any draw backs in converting my AVCHD videos to H264? I think the formats are pretty much the same thing but i can cut the file sizes down alot by using H264 since it looks great at a lower bitrate.

    Suggestions?

    hehe. avchd is already h264. since filesize = bitrate x time, yes you can decrease any video's size by re-encoding to a lower bitrate at the expense of video quality.
