Ok what I'm looking for is a freeware optical disc emulator for MAC OS X. I know OS X has built in support for disc images but that doesn't help me for what I want to do. I need to have a virtual drive emulated just like Gizmo drive or Daemon tools does for windows. It has to appear as a real optical drive that I can write to in any piece of software, not just a mounted disk image. For example iTunes should detect it as just another CD/DVD-RW drive. I've found a couple of shareware and paid apps that do this but no freeware, I can't believe there isn't ANY freeware for this!?
Thanks for any help!!
