How to cut ASF file accurately ?

I'm using for this Ultra Video Splitter but it seems like a crappy software for that. In a lot of my tests the file which has come out as a result wasn't playable. When I drag the slider thru the length of the video seems like there is one whole part there but it doesn't play when I hit the play button. Moreover, it doesn't cut the file properly where supposed to/where file is marked off. Regardless, whether I set split with re-encoding or not - same problem. I know there's still SolveighMM Video Splitter to try and propably a bunch more software for this. I just don't want to be frustrated with long time testing different programs (and downloading, installing). A lot a times I spent long hours over video editing stuff and this and that so I don't want to search again for something that may take a few hours/a couple days.
Anyway, may some of you guys recommend a decent program for my problem
