    Hello all,

For the past few months, I have been using an Asrock ION 330 Nettop (Atom 330 1.6GHz dual core proc, ION graphics) on a 32" 720p LCD TV with an XBOX 360 HD DVD drive. I'm using Windows 7 64-bit. It has been working quite well for me, but recently I switched out my 720p set with a 47" 1080p LCD TV. Now, when I try to play back an HD DVD movie in WinDVD9, I get audio but I cannot see any video on-screen, only black. According to Asrock's website (http://www.asrock.com/nettop/overview.asp?Model=ION 330), I should be able to play back HD DVD's in 1080p. I've tried AnyDVD HD to remove encryption/protection, but still get the same results.

I really don't know why I can't get it to work, but I don't know what else I can try. The only thing that I've changed is the TV set and the screen resolution. Any ideas?

    Thanks in advance!

If you play other video files do you get any video then?
Tried other players? TMT, PowerDVD or just play the decrypted EVO files with MPCHC.

    Hi Baldrick,

Thanks for the advice. I can play 1080p matroska files just fine and 1080p YouTube plays, too (though with a little stutter here and there). I was under the impression that the latest versions of PowerDVD no longer supported HD DVD, but I suppose I could try the older versions. MPC was a bust, too. I'll try TMT next. The only thing I find odd is that it worked with my 720p set and nothing else has changed. It looks as though my graphics card can't handle the source, but I know from my experience with the mkv files that it can.

    Thanks again.
