1. I know that PS3 HDMI won't work, but I can capture PS3 games using Component and still get HD 1080i quality, correct?

2. Can I capture PC games with this card as well?

3. I heard there's uncompressed and compressed format when capturing - how large are the compressed videos? 1 hour = 4gb?

1) Yes, you can record 1080i component output from any device that puts it out -- unless it's marked with the CGMS-A "do not copy" flag.

2) Yes. But don't expect to capture on the same computer you're playing on. It's too CPU intensive.

3) You're way off! Uncompressed 1920x1080i is about 450 GB/hr. 1280x720p60 about 400 GB/hr. You will need a RAID 0 array to capture uncompressed.

Consider a Hauppauge HD PVR too. It ignores CGMS-A so it can capture all component signals, SD and HD. It uses a hardware h.264 encoder so it's hardware requirements are much lower. It may even be possible to capture on the same computer on which you're playing a game.
