hd audio recorder takes up small screen space with 3 click functionality, that includes launching the application. audicity is full feature rich so i think hd audio recorder stands out as an easy and fast way of recording audio streams to .wav (youtube etc. etc.) the conversion aspect of the program is a joke so definitley use something else.

No 1 piece of software/hardware is going to sound alike in both recording and playback, the video review description states the evaluation was done using a decent motherboard audio from youtube and a pair of speakers that are over a $1000 bucks n recording studios all over the world.

not everybody has cash for nice speakers to evaluate audio. besides it's....free! so give it a try or not.

The program has nothing to do with the sound quality of WAV's, it's up to your soundcard and the quality of audio on a website. Most audio on YouTube sounds like crap but to each his own.

tell me somthing i don't know geek uh i mean srooge
talking about uploads of things that are rare or unavailable, etc. i'm sure i hate youtube much more than you ever possibly could, but that's irrelevant. i wouldn't be surprised if you worked for some greedy media company based on your crappy audio comment.

actually it does or any other format for that matter.
if you record a live instrument with a good mic in audacity and then do the exact same thing in a program like say, nuendo, using the same audio interface, you WILL hear a huge difference.
