Hi all, very sorry if this has been talked about before but I have had a search.

Basically I would like to set up a home media system whereby there are 2 mini PCs (ITX etc) each connected to a tv and on a network.

There would then be a 'media server' which has music and video files etc but also has a few DVB-S cards (i'm thinking terratec).

Is there media center software that can stream DVB-S from a main server to the client? When I say media center software I mean the all in ones packages like Windows Media Center which allows the use of a remote control.

Or would each mini PC need to have its own DVB-S capture card and sattelite feed?

    Thanks

  2. Yes DvbViewer, that's the best software for dvb-s ,dvb-c, dvb-t.

It can stream over a lan and internet too i think, controlable with a remote ...The best.

Great, would that allow me to have 4 cards in the server, with each PC having access to 2 streams (one for view and one for record)?
