AVI video properties missing

Im using DVDFab 6.0.6.0 to try and backup a copy of Funny People but every time I rip the movie to my hd the file properties relevant to the video (dimensions, video length, bitrate, ect...) appear to be missing from the file itself(right click->properties->Details). The video will play on my WMP but every time i try access the video through the library the video length will be missing from the library list and every time i try to jump to a different part of the movie it will just restart the video. Now, if I were to play the movie by clicking on the file itself itll will work as it should. Im not sure if the issue lies with WMP or the file itself missing the information needed by WMP. I rip all of my dvd's to AVI and play them in WMP and i have encountered this problem before but ever since i reinstalled my windows vista 64bit all of the video files i had backedup from before the install have all the file information as they should.

why not upgrade to the latest version and then have a try?

Ive tried all the formats that have worked for me in the past and nothing is working so ill try and upgrading.

Newest version of DVDfad had no effect
