    Hi,
    I know this question has been asked a million times. I have been reading all I can and nothing I have tried will work so I thought I would clean the slate and ask the pros to kindly explain what I need to do as simply as possible.

    I am trying to convert some VHS recordings to DVD.
    I have a cheap USB 2.0 TV Box that I am using(its all I can afford for right now).
    It seems to do the job decently.
    I am using the software that came with it InterVideo WINDVR 3 to record which makes a MPEG File.

    The problem I have and would like to remove is a steady/consistent static(Fuzzy kind of sound) sound(its like that even when watching the tapes on regular TV).

    So what would be the best way to remove this sound and then burn to DVD?

    Also any simple ways to remove commercials? this isn't as important as cleaning up the sound though.

    Any help would be greatly Appreciated
    Thank You
    LCE

    Access the linear track in the VCR. Removing buzz after the fact can be pretty hard.

    I've written about this before here:
    http://www.digitalfaq.com/forum/show...atic-1163.html

    using techniques found here:
    http://www.digitalfaq.com/forum/foru...mprove-17.html

    and some posts also here:

    and to a lesser extent, in here somewhere, long ago:

    Again, best bet is a better VCR. That's the real issue.
