I was wondering something..I have some scratched cd's dvd's that some readers or writers will read some of the info and others won't..does this mean there are some with stronger lasers?any advice on a brand that does well with this type of situation?..thanks for any help

Umm...with the older Plextor drives they were known to read scratched discs but not anymore. Plextor no longer manufactures their own drives.Their drives are rebadged Pioneers or Liteon's or even Samsung. Best place to ask is at the old cdfreaks.com Plextor forum.Originally Posted by ocgw
