AVCHD-DVDR authoring

Newbie, just bought a Canon Vixia HF 200.

I can't afford to burn Blueray disc. My plan is to edit the video in Premiere and then output both AVCHD-DVDR and regular DVD (for grandpa).

Could anyone point me to how to create AVCHD-DVDR?

Does he have a blu-ray player or ps3? If not you're stuck with DVD-Video i.e. regular standard definition DVD

If he does have one, use multiavchd

He's getting a blu-ray player and I'd want to make sure it's AVCHD-DVDR compliant. It'd be a while before the writable media price comes down to make them. I am trying to create AVCHD-DVDR.
