Black Magic Intensity Pro [Question]

I'm considering getting a BMIP capture card to record footage from my X360 onto my PC.
I have read through the thread "Black Magic Intensity Pro Requirements" but can
make little sense of it and I am still unsure if my computer will be compatable with it. I
have searched up my mobo and I beleive it is not compatable with RAID does this mean
I cannot record atall or just not in 1080i/p?

My computer specs;

OP: Vista 32bit and Windows 7 64bit
Processor: Intel Core Duo E6950 @ 3.00ghz
RAM: 2048mb
Gcard: NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTX
Mobo: Gigabyte P35-DS3L

Any help/advice I will be greatful as I know very little

Raid is required for uncompressed HD Capture 720/1080i (card does not support 1080p). However, Intensity Pro also supports compressed capture, which should be able to run on your current setup and still capture HD video.

I'm looking to sell my Intensity Pro as I no longer have time to capture and it comes with all original items. If you are interested, send me a PM. Good luck.

What is the difference between compressed and uncompressed capture?

Uncompressed is lossless (no data is lost)
Compressed is lossy (some data is lost)

Think of it as a bmp image (large but lossless) vs a jpeg image (small but lossy)

However, just because compressed is lossy, doesn't mean it looks bad (hard to tell the difference to the untrained eye).

The BM Intensity pro is pretty hard core for pro editors.

Instead, you may want to consider a Hauppauge HD PVR. It records analog component SD/HD to h.264. It also loops the analog component to an HDTV with no insertion loss.

I installed the intensity pro into my pc.. now when its installed my pc wont boot up. my motherboard is ASROCK .. if i pull the card and and reboot the computer theres no problem .. im starting to wonder if this is incompatible with my motherboard .
ive only seen thats its incompatible with dell computers .. it was bought brand new so im thinking of sending it back for testing . but thought id try here for any solution .. just one thing .. i dont have a pci graphics card just the onboard one . not sure if this would make any difference and prevent the computer booting up .. its either incompatible or a fault with the card . the company is away holiday otherwise it would be on its way back . so hopefully i can sort this in the est few days . any help would be appreciated thanks
