Can ffmpegx convert mkv files to a format to burn to dvd? I know that this is probably been talked about but could not find anything on it, so all the help would be appreciated. Thanks!!

ffmpegX can handle the MKV container format as input. That doesn't mean it will handle every MKV out there, though.
Just try it.
