Viewing Downloaded Videos Seeking Problem

I've been having this problem for a while now, sometimes when I download a movie (legal, which is in .wmv), and i try to seek the movie to a specific place, it always goes back a few seconds. Sounds confusing, but like if i click on 1:00 it jumps back to play 0:55 instead. It might have to do with internet connection because i sometimes pause the d/l on firefox and my connection get lost. Then i reconnect and resume the download. Any suggestions?

Do you mean progressive download (downloaded to the computer when finished) or true streaming?

The video probably doesn't have a keyframe at 1:00, so it falls back to the nearest keyframe, likely at 0:55
