Avisynth Script Help

Hello there and I wonder if you can help me out. When encoding to HD such as a m2ts file when must I use DGAVCIndex and DGAVCDecode.dll in my avisynth script? Or can I just use DirectShowSource instead?
RipBot has this tool in its package but when I encode an m2ts file with AVC video it isn't used?

DirectShowSource is not frame-accurate when seeking, so it is best avoided unless your script simply accesses the source linearly from start to finish. It also requires the appropriate DirectShow filters to be installed.

So this is the case as in RipBot am i right ? Ripbot reincodes a file to m2ts and uses DirectShowSource from start to finish.
