Problem converting MKV files with a DTS audio track to DivX

Hi i have read loads of posts on here about trying to do something similar to what i want but nothing has solved my problem!

i am currently downloading HDmovies and converting them to DivX so that i can store them all on an ext hardrive and play them on my ps3. If the file i download has an AC3 audio track the file converts, if it is DTS then divX converter throwss up an error saying that this is an unsupported audio stream.

I have tried to use avidemux to copy the video and just change the audio to AC3 but to no avail. i dont want to stream the movies from my laptop, what can i do?

Download Popcorn MKV AudioConverter and run the file through. It will take the DTS and convert it to AC3.

Or maybe mkv2vob would work. Makes a special vob file for ps3. No video reconversion.
