    HI
I just purchased the HVR 1600. However the video has what I consider to be strong rainbows racing through it. Its hard to explain but is terrible. I updated my video driver and used both win tv 7 & sage tv with the same results. I am picking up analog cable. I also checked my cable coax line and it works clear with a tv hooked up. Any ideas?
    Thanks[/video]

I thought it might be but before I ordered this new card I first tried to hook up an old happauge card. Think it was the 250. It would freeze( not compatible with win 7) but I also remember the poor video rainbow effect. Was hoping to change some settings somewhere. Hope its not bad cause I ordered it off ebay from HK

Check on the Tuner there a label dose it say NTSC or PAL
If you got from HongKong I guesting that HK means for it?, most like a PAL ver which isn't for USA Cable system that maybe why your seeing the rainbow effect.

Thanks for the replys. Yes that is what mine is doing but unlike the poster in that thread, mine stays that way. It does not clear up. Also the card does say NTSC. If anyone has any ideas they would be appreciated.
