I transfered the video from my Canon Vixia 100 to my PC. I had a full 32G card, but transfer took only 5G space in hard drive.
    Any ideas why that happened?

Have you played the video on the computer to see if it's all there?

yes all the content seems to be in HDD..im using the software that came with the camcorder (Pixela) to transfer the video..im worried maybe somehow the software lowers the bitrate/video quality during transfer

  4. Did you use firewire to transfer?
It sounds like it converted to MPEG-2.

  6. I looked up your camera and it's an HD camera, you should get a SD card reader and drag the file from My Computer.
Once you have it on your PC then use multiAVCHD,tsmuxer, etc.

i solved the mystery today after looking carefully at the SD card..its only a 8 G card although the camera was advertised to come with 32G..no wonder why they were selling it for $200 less then everybody else
