My camera (SANYO) crashed and all MP4 files were transformed into 2 files each, one big file .MOV and one small (256ko each) .MP4.
All 256ko MP4 are working but black (5s black film), but all MOV appear to be corrupted.

I'd like to fix the binary code (binary/hex code) with HEX editor because I found nothing working on the files.
On a topic Cornucopia said we also need to use program called "Dumpster" from Apple.

So I have 2 questions if somebody knows...
1 - Do you think big files .MOV are really .MOV files? Because I don't understand how after a crash my camera can transform MP4 file into MOV file?
Also this small MP4 (256ko each) appears to me as a part of launch code of a MP4?
2 - What is the equivalent to Dumpster but for MP4 file?
3 - How be sure MOV file are really MOV file?

If you have any advice or if you know somebody who can do it...

    Many thanks

I edit the files with winhex :
MP4 file 256k as the same structure as a new working video.
MOV file begins by a mdat atoms directly

So I think MOV file misses all the header...

Do you have an idea to insert it?
