Hi,
I've googled with several different keywords and haven't found a good answer.
Is the WD TV (old and the new 'Live') HDCP compliant? And most importantly, can I connect it using an HDMI-to-DVI-D cable to a non-HDCP compliant monitor (like the viewsonic va1912wb) and enjoy almost full quality?
I know this monitor is only a 1440x900.
Has anyone here tried anything similar?

Yes, you can go from HDMI-->DVI with the new and old versions.
My old Plasma wont accept a DCHP compliant signal from a HD-DVD player, but will from my WDTVs and older Upconverting DVD player
