    Ok, im wondering if there is a way to connect my Pioneer DV-355 DVD player to my 22inch LG LCD 2242TE monitor (1680x1050) through the component output
    the monitor has VGA and DVI-D inputs.
    any help would be appreciated... thanks.

    You need a converter of some kind. Google for component to vga or dvi.
