How can I, if possible, find/record a video that uses Silverlight? The site requires registration so I can't link to an example.

I am not interested in a screen capture program, but something to record the stream, preferably raw (but not important).

EDIT: Sorry about posting in the wrong section, I see now there is a section for Video Streaming.

As far as I know, there is no software that can capture Silverlight streamed video at this time.

Could it be captured with a screen capture program like replay video capture? One that records everything on your computer screen. Not ideal at all but in situations like this it may be the only alternative.

I believe they have a trial that captures like one minute of video so you can see if it works or not.

Yes. But he explicitly said he was looking for non screen capture software.

Yep. I must admit I didn't read his OP very well.

I found a tool to get the asx file and record it (Orbit), but I'm having another problem now. I have another stream that is live and uses DRM protection. Is there any way to avoid it? Not sure if breaking DRM protection on video streams is considered illegal though... It is something I have paid for, and it's not some sort of ppv, in case someone thinks I'm "stealing" it.

It's an MMS stream, if that matters.

I've managed to download silverlight stream using Replay media catcher. After that I used Asfbin program to repair file, meaning make it seekable.
