I have searched the forum here and quite a few other places, but haven't found a working solution.
I have some MPEG4/H.264./AAC-HE(Latm/Laos) .ts files from a DVB-T stream with embedded subtitles which I can enable in DVB-Viewer. However, if I framserve the .ts file into any encoder the subtitles are not visible (naturally). Is there anyway to demux or rip the subtitles from the .ts file? I have tried ProjectX (seems like it doesn't support this new format) and TSMuxer without luck.

Doesn't tsmuxer find any subs at all?
THere aren't that many demuxing tools for ts with h264 video. But try h264tsto(command line app) and Transport Stream Packet Editor.
Thanks for your reply Baldrick. When I load the file in tsmuxer I get an error saying "unsupported format, some tracks not recognized". It can demux the file, but my only output is a .264 file. In the Transport Stream Packet Editor it's the same. It finds some subtitle tracks there, but my only output is a .264 file. I should be able to get a separate file for the subs right (I just noticed in the description of h64tsto that it will output a .264 file)?.
I'm not sure if this would work but when I capped some shows in .ts I extracted the close caption stream from the .ts file..worked like a charm with some editing..I used CCExtractor
http://ccextractor.sourceforge.net/
hope that helps you
I still haven't found a working solution for this. Anybody else?
