Hi folks
I have some .WMV files which I would like to put on DVD to be playable on a standard DVD player.
I have tried using Super to convert to MPEGII, then using DVD authoring software to burn the DVD. This all works, but the quality loss during the conversion is just a little too much. I have tried using the same frame-rate and keeping settings as close as possible to the original, but the picture acquires a slight glitchy quality which is quite irritating.
Is there a way to convert WMV to DVD without any change in quality? Super's direct stream encoding options did not seem able to do this.
Would be grateful for any help.

Try other good dvd converters like DVD FLick, AVStoDVD or ConvertXtoDVD and use highest possible bitrate = the biggest output file size you can choose in those apps.
thanks, i will investigate.
Appreciate your response!
Just a couple of things to keep in mind when doing this.
1. Every conversion from a lossy format to a lossy format has a risk of doing damage to the file. Every time you convert you throw away data. Eventually this damage will be visible. Some formats work better than others.
2. Viewing a video on your computer is different to viewing it on your TV. Even if the conversion does no damage at all to the video, you may find that when you watch it on your TV you see a lot of things that were not visible on your monitor, including banding and blocking artifacts, pulsing, mosquito noise etc. Unless you have your monitor calibrated for video work, or preview on an external monitor, you may not see many of these issues until you watch your DVD on your TV.
