Does anyone know how to make the Sony DAV-HDZ273 region-free? I need it to play Region 2 DVD's. On the box it displayed the Globe symbol with the word "ALL" on it. which led me to believe it was suitable for all regions. It turns out it means that it will play DVD's which have the "ALL" symbol!

Welcome to the forums, but don't cross post. We don't like it when people open up the same thread in different forums here. I have asked the mods to close your other post.
There probably isn't a solution for you. Most DVD players can't be made region free and Sony and Samsung are among the most difficult of all models to be made region free. If you can even find a hack code for your Sony, and one may not exist, you'll probably have to buy a special remote control just to enter the code and even then I can't guarantee you that it will work.
