When trying to read MP4 video file coded with H264 at 1280x576 if the file is short (30-35Mb) there is no problem but if it is a complete 2h video (1,2-1,5Gb) compressed with the same parameters and codec it gives an error.

Is there a limitation on file size for the MP4 H264 codec?

No limitation on file size, unless the storage system is using FAT32, then the limit is 2GB - but this isn't a limitation of h.264 or .mp4 container

But my 8GB DiscOnKey is NTFS system and it's steel not working, and the MP4 file is 2.3 GB (less than the limit).

So it's probably another reason. What software did you use? What settings? What error message?

For converting - Format Factory (MKV to MP4). I used the same setting in both files (35 MB that work and 2.3 GB that dont work).

The codec is AVC (H264) High@L4.1

The TV read only the small file and not the big file.

^I added to my post above

What does mediainfo say about the file that does work?

The file that doesn't work uses a variable frame rate, that might cause problems with hardware players.

Not sure... I would try cutting it smaller (<2GB) just to see if it makes a difference. It plays on the PC ok?

Is there something I can do other than splitting all my files?

maybe convert them to other codec?

or the problems is with the hardware player of my TV?
