This is a DVD recorder that has the capability of upconverting to 1080p that i want to purchase, however i understand
that a dvd recorder/player can only upscale to the quality of the television, and i do not have an hd television. so my question is will the regular features of this device such as dvd recording (non-upscaling) and vhs recording and playback still work? basically do i have to use hdmi cables or can i use rca?
