Hi, I am using Adobe Audition 3 and I having an issue with the volume when I mixdown all the audio files in the multitrack into a single stereo file. When I do this, the volume decreases from the level I had the files in the multitrack section. I'm not sure if there is a setting I am missing or what, but the volume gets decreased significantly when I mixdown all the audio files into a stereo file. I'd appreciate any help on this issue. Thank you.

Thread: Adobe Audition Mixdown Problem

I don't have AA installed here anymore, but it could be a "pan laws" issue, check your settings to see if there's a pan law setting and try setting it to 0dB - if it's not already. That "might" have an effect on your mixdown volume level.
Also you may want to give Reaper a whirl - I use it for both multitrack recording and wav editing.
That worked great, thank you. It was automatically reducing the volume by 3dB and it was annoying the heck out of me. I will check out Reaper. I thought I could get used to Audition 3's new format, but I am getting more annoyed by it than anything. Still a good program. Thanks, again.
I'm having this exact same problem but I've looked up "pan laws" and can't find it. Does anyone know exactly what I should be switching?
